Due to travel and contractor scheduling issues, I ordered bathroom fixtures on Friday morning and paid for overnight shipping for Monday. TUESDAY, I called to inquire about the as of yet, undelivered order, and was told a mistake was made and the items would be delivered the following day. After several requests, they offered to refund the overnight charges, then offered a $100 credit on a future purchase.
Due to their mistake, the "domino" scheduling of contractors is broken irrepairably, and my project will not be finished before I leave the country for a month. I will return from an international trip to a house partially "under construction," and begin the process of scheduling subs again. My bathroom should have been finished on Monday. Instead, I will be fortunate if it is completed sometime in September.
